Bob:
We want to talk to you today about the many uses that polished concrete North Little Rock has in both the home and office setting, polished concrete is a great durable long-lasting product that doesn’t require very much maintenance to keep it looking great. A couple of places that we’d like to talk about our recent job we’ve done. One of the best places to use to Polish concrete floors is in your personal house. Ryan, can you think of some examples recently we’ve done where a customer has had us come in and do something in their home.
Ryan:
As we polished concrete North Little Rock a lot of private residences we prefer to do it in a new construction, but we can do it in a remodel as well. When you Polish concrete in a residence, it’s better to do a pre grind during a new construction. It’s easier for us. And one, you get a better price and we can make your edges look better. When you get to talk about edge, work on a new construction, you just have a naked slab and we’ll come in and we’ll cut the concrete up to a 200 grit. And then you can get the house in a dry and almost complete. And then we will finish it once you’re almost complete on a remodel. We have to come in and we have to work around all your walls, all your edges, your cabinets, everything. It’s a lot of hand grinding. And when we’re polishing concrete, it’s, it’s when a 200 pound man is using a hand grinder on your edges. We call that the edge in the field would be the middle of the floor, the field, and the edges really it’s really hard to get a match because the 200 pound man and an 800 pound machine give different what’s the word I’m looking for? Different looks. Yeah. And
Bob:
Polished concrete North Little Rock floors in the home are also a great if you want to add some color because we have the ability to add some stain or color to your concrete without using any kind of sealer. So there’s no fumes, there’s no waiting process for the cure and there’s no resealing every year or two years down the road either. So I cheap yet. Great looking and very durable option in your home is polished concrete floors,
Ryan:
Not only durable, but also cost-effective once you Polish the concrete and your floors, you hardly ever have to do anything with it again in the lifetime that you own the home. Whereas carpet VCT other floors were out in time and show high traffic where polished concrete versus sealed concrete sealed concrete will wear off Polish. Concrete does not
Bob:
Another area that we’re seeing a real growth in polished concrete floor utilization is in restaurants here locally. We’ve been doing several restaurants and the reason they choose us as again, because of the ease of cleaning and for its durability Ryan, what’s one of the restaurants we just finished up recently and what they have us do.
Ryan:
We just did a whole hall cafe and north little rock. We also do all the [inaudible]. they prefer the Polish concrete, because it’s more aesthetically pleasing. It’s easy to clean. Polished concrete is also a lot safer than the food environment,
Bob:
Especially when you talk about that sealer, like we talked about in the home in a restaurant you don’t want fumes sitting around for 24 to 48, or even more 48 hours or longer due to the sealer being applied and then having to reapply it every couple of years, when we come in and do polished concrete North Little Rock, when we walk off that floor, the floor is ready to use and it is complete and done. There’s no chemical smell and there’s no sealer that has to cure or be replaced every couple of years.
Ryan:
Okay. The the Cedar, we actually use in a commercial setting like a restaurant, when we Polish concrete, it’s a two part, it’s not a topical sealer that you can scratch off for the razorblade. We put down a stain preventer, is there a stain blocker and then a sealer. And we run a high-speed furnisher, which heats up the liquid and pushes it down into the concrete. And it seals it on a on a, on a real tight level to where it’s, it’s not a topical sealer. It’s actually part of the concrete.
Bob:
And that kind of treatment is really important in the restaurant industry, because there’s a lot of foot traffic. There’s a lot of spills and there’s a lot of drop food in Greece that gets introduced to the floor, Sunita, very durable coating. That is also extremely easy to clean in order to keep your restaurant looking top-notch and to save money. And especially in the restaurant industry today where margins are so tight from being shut down recently
Ryan:
And another great place it’s doing a lot of polished concrete North Little Rock now is retail stores. We did a converse store in a strip mall, not several while we did it about 10, 12 years ago. And it still looks like the day that we did it and that converse store, the Polish concrete and the converse store is still looks like the day that we left the job.
Bob:
Yep. Polished concrete floors in the retail store. I have the same advantages that we talked about when we talked about restaurants and homes you know, retail stores. What they’re subject to is, is really the heavier foot traffic, which means that people are bringing in little grains of sand and dirt and small rocks into their shoes. And that’s being rubbed across the floor. And what happens then if you don’t have a floor properly done, is that you see traffic patterns like shadows through the floor where everybody walks. So it’s very important to use the type of chemicals that Ryan was talking about, that penetrate down into the concrete slab and turn your concrete floor into a finished floor by sealing it off and making sure that the dirt debris oils can’t penetrate the floor and stain it
Ryan:
When you mechanically Polish a floor, whether it be retail, whether it be retail, commercial restaurants, hotels, or residential, the foot traffic we’re talking about, they, they equivalate the the sand and debris in the bottom of your shoes to 80 grit to a 200 grit sandpaper that can wear away at a floor where that’s one big thing we can say is Walmart. Wouldn’t do it. If it didn’t make sense. Yup. They do all their floors and polished concrete now because of the high, high traffic they have, nobody else is going to see the traffic that a Walmart sees.
Bob:
You know, one of the projects that I really liked that we’ve done fairly recently, I guess it was almost a year ago now is for a customer he’s actually a guy who manages one of the local auto show rooms around here, but he wanted to do his own personal garage. And the results there were just amazing. It fits so great into basically his man-cave concept of doing his garage, that the rustic decor of the polished concrete really kind of added the finishing touch. I feel like to that project.
Ryan:
Yeah. He’s got a beautiful car collection. Is it just, this floor is the Polish concrete just really sets it off. You can see the flection of the beautiful cars and the beautiful concrete
Bob:
And speaking of auto showrooms, aren’t we really getting dart. We about to set to start a actual auto showroom here soon.
Ryan:
Yep. You looked at one last yesterday in Benton, Arkansas, it’s a smaller showroom. It’s not a huge dealer. Like the one we looked at that we’ve done work for before, this is a smaller one. So even the smaller guys realize how much money they save using polished concrete versus VCT or painting concrete, polishing concrete is the way to go.
Bob:
Can’t beat the polished concrete North Little Rock for an auto showroom, because like Ryan said, it’s just so neat how that car reflects off that shine in a properly polished concrete floor. And then how easy it is to maintain. Because like Ryan said, if you do things like paint it or use VCT over time VCT tiles break and you will never put the exact same color tile back in there. So it’s an obvious patch. And if you paint, painting does not hold up anywhere near close to a polished concrete floors. Do the paint will begin to peel and let burn marks in it. And before long you’re having to completely redo that floor, whereas polished concrete floors with minimal maintenance in a business setting can last the life of the business.
Ryan:
Yep. Large warehouses and warehouse outlets and showrooms and stuff are all great places to do it. We’ve just completed lately in north little rock, we Polish concrete in a warehouse for a flooring manufacturer that does marbles and other things. And in stone, we Polish their concrete and their showroom over 7,000 square feet of Polish concrete. They wanted their samples to reflect off of the floor and showed just how pretty it is,
Bob:
You know, and the other great thing about doing a warehouse too, that’s often overlooked is the fact that concrete FRS is or gives off dust basically over time and using polished concrete at the very least greatly reduces that if not eliminates the amount of dust that con the concrete floor gives off over time, especially as heavy equipment walks or goes over and, and people walk back and forth across the floor.
Ryan:
Yeah. In a, in a closing statement, polished concrete North Little Rock is a great way to go for all your needs. It does lock down dust. It’s easy to maintain. It’s very inexpensive to maintain, and it’s just beautiful. Shiny, shiny means clean doll was dirty. Yep.
